Terms of Service for Pawfile

Welcome to Pawfile. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pawfile website at https://pawfile.ai and the services we provide (the "Service"). By creating an account or using Pawfile, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Pawfile is a digital health record assistant for pets. We collect documents you (or your veterinary clinic) send to a dedicated email address, organize them, and use third-party AI services to extract structured health events (vaccines, weights, treatments, etc.).
Pawfile is not a medical service. Information displayed by Pawfile is indicative, may contain extraction errors, and must not be used to make medical decisions. Always consult a licensed veterinarian and the original documents.
2. Account & Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account.
3. Subscription, Trial & Billing
Pawfile is a paid service. New users may start a 7-day free trial (credit card required). At the end of the trial, the subscription renews automatically at the price displayed on the pricing page.
You can cancel at any time from the Settings page. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Credit packs are non-refundable once used and expire 365 days after purchase.
Refund policy: we will refund any subscription charge upon request within 14 days of the charge if you have not extensively used the Service. Just email support@pawfile.ai.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- upload content you do not have the right to upload;
- upload malware, illegal content, or content that infringes third-party rights;
- attempt to bypass quotas, abuse the AI extraction system, or reverse-engineer the Service;
- use Pawfile to provide veterinary advice to third parties as a regulated professional service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Your Data
You retain full ownership of the documents and data you upload. We process them on your behalf to deliver the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
You can export all data for any pet at any time from the Settings page (ZIP archive containing JSON files and original documents).
6. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: all pets, health records, documents, reminders and original files are permanently deleted, and any active subscription is cancelled at Stripe. Anonymized usage logs may be retained for fraud prevention and accounting.
7. Service Availability & Liability
Pawfile is provided "as is". We do our best to keep the Service available, secure and accurate, but we offer no warranty, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of any material change. Continuing to use Pawfile after the change means you accept the new Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of Madrid, Spain.
